Additional PGAs in ACE Export Processing Webinar – July 11, 2016

Mr. Bill Delansky, Product Owner for Exports, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, will conduct an Export Processing Webinar on Monday, July 11, 2016 from 2:00 – 3:00 pm EST. The webinar will focus on the seven additional Partnering Government Agencies (PGAs) requirements for ACE Export Processing. The webinar will be for software developers, exporters and ACE AESDirect filers.

As a result of the President’s Executive Order (13658) Streamlining the Export /Import Process for America’s Businesses, the Appendix X – HTS/ Schedule B Codes for PGAs for commodity filing has been posted for the seven additional PGAs. The seven additional PGAs are:

    • Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco Firearms and Explosives (ATF)
    • Agriculture Marketing Service (AMS)
    • Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)
    • U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS)
    • U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
    • National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS)
    • Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB)

The Appendix X document for the additional PGAs joins the Appendix Q for the PGA Record Formats, Appendix A for the Commodity Filing Response Messages (disposition codes for the PGAs) and updates to the AESTIR and 601 for the Participating Government Agency Detail (Input PGA Record).  All PGAs record changes for export and appendixes have been posted at this time at https://www.cbp.gov/trade/aes.

There currently is no timeline set on these additional PGA pilots, but EPA has a limited ongoing pilot for used lead acid batteries. All changes have been deployed to the certification region for EDI, AESDirect Bulk Upload, AESDirect WebLink, AESDirect VPN and AESDirect sFTP for the trade to test. The AESDirect Portal screen changes have not been deployed at this time.
