Census Bureau to Embargo U.S. Detailed Population Estimates by Age, Sex, Race and Hispanic Origin
June 22, 2015 —The U.S.
Census Bureau will offer a two-day embargo for members of the
media to view the latest population estimates for the nation, states and
counties by age, sex, race and Hispanic origin and for Puerto Rico by age and
sex.
These
2014 population estimates will be posted to the Census Bureau’s embargo site
at 10 a.m. (EDT) on Tuesday, June 23.
The embargoed information may not be
published, broadcast or posted online until the public release date and time.
The public release will be at 12:01 a.m.
EDT Thursday, June 25.
Furthermore, per the Census Bureau’s embargo
policy, wire and distribution services are
prohibited from distributing embargoed news releases and data files to
subscribers before the public release date and time.
