It's that time of year: my office is accepting applications for US Service Academy nominations.
Each year I have the privilege of nominating students to attend our nation's service academies. The honor of attending a service academy comes with an obligation and commitment to serve in the military for a minimum of five years upon graduation.
For the application process this year, we ask those applying to complete the 2020 application forms and email your application with all supporting documents to juan.hernandez@mail.house.gov, then mail the original materials to our San Diego office by the November 30, 2020 deadline.
We also invite students and parents to join us for a special Service Academy Informational Night we are hosting tomorrow, October 7, 2020, at 6:00 PM.
While previously held in person, we've moved the event online due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
