Nurse Hamida A. Himid can deliver better care to her patients in Tanzania during the COVID-19 pandemic with USAID support.
At the second Global COVID-19 Summit, USAID announced $220 million to prevent future pandemics and continue our lifesaving work in the current one. This builds on two years delivering close to 540 million vaccines and leading efforts to get shots in arms in more than 115 countries. “Now is not the time to back down,” says Administrator Samantha Power, “it is the time to push ahead, even if this fight may drag on longer than any of us want.”
