Join the FAA and our partner Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCUs) for the inaugural FAA-HBCU Aviation Day on Thursday, January 26, 2023. Together, we will commemorate the pivotal role HBCUs play to advance careers in aerospace. This day also coincides with Bessie Coleman’s birthday, the first black licensed aviator.
Our goal is to spotlight HBCUs innovative and groundbreaking aviation education programs and highlight the FAA’s diverse initiatives and opportunities (e.g., recruitment, internships, grants, collegiate programs, cooperative agreements, etc.). Participants will have the opportunity to meet the FAA Administrator, Deputy Administrator and leadership from the FAA and HBCUs. This day will continue to foster the strong collaboration between FAA and our HBCU partners, as we navigate the future of aerospace.
