EPA Seeks Input on Inflation Reduction Act Programs
EPA is seeking public input on new programs focused on lower-carbon construction materials made possible by a $350 million investment from President Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act.
The Agency is hosting three public webinars and is accepting feedback on establishing new grant and technical assistance programs, as well as a carbon labeling program for construction materials with substantially lower levels of embodied greenhouse gas emissions.
In addition, EPA issued a request for information to solicit written comments on the design of these new programs.

EPA Updates Online P2 Calculators
EPA has updated three online calculators that can help P2 program grantees and others measure the environmental outcomes and economic performance of P2 activities.
The P2 Cost Calculator, the P2 GHG Calculator, and the P2 Calculator for Reductions in Hazardous Substances, Pollutants, and Contaminants are downloadable, Excel-based tools that convert information on P2 activities at a business, such as reductions in energy use, into information on cost savings and pollution reductions.
