You are Invited to Attend the 26th Green Chemistry Challenge Awards
The winners of the 2022 Green Chemistry Challenge Awards will be honored at a ceremony starting at 6:15 p.m. on June 6, 2022, at the American Chemical Society’s Green Chemistry and Engineering Conference in Reston, Virginia. The 2022 awards will recognize winners from six categories, including a new category that will recognize technology that reduces or eliminates greenhouse gas emissions in support of the Biden-Harris Administration’s commitment to tackle the climate crisis. The awards ceremony is open to the public and registration is required.

Lean Six Sigma - Energy Reduction in Manufacturing

Many manufacturing companies use Lean and Six Sigma methods to improve economic performance. These methods can also be used to increase sustainability, particularly by reducing energy use. This webinar will cover how to use the Green Impact Matrix to prioritize energy-saving opportunities, adding energy usage to value stream maps and conducting “gemba walks” where company officials walk through a manufacturing site to identify opportunities for cutting energy use. A Six Sigma project case study will also be presented about how one manufacturer cut $300,000 in energy expenses. This webinar is sponsored in part by the EPA’s Pollution Prevention Program.

Safer Alternatives for Solvent Applications in Graffiti Management, Auto Repair and Industry
