P2 Grantee Highlights
EPA’s Automotive Manufacturing and Maintenance Affinity Group Joins Forces with Industry Group
Last year, EPA formed the Automotive Manufacturing and Maintenance Affinity Group, comprised of EPA P2 grant-funded state, university, and non-profit based technical assistance providers (TAPs) across 22 states to improve coordination among grantees and catalyze sustainability in the auto manufacturing and maintenance sector. Earlier this year, the Auto Affinity Group initiated a partnership with the Suppliers Partnership for the Environment (SP) to provide SP member companies with pollution prevention technical assistance, and to collaborate on webinars and training seminars that will be hosted by state automotive manufacturing associations.
Colorado Environmental Leadership Program (ELP)
The Colorado Environmental Leadership Program (ELP) is partially funded by an EPA P2 grant. This statewide program recognizes companies and organizations in Colorado that go above and beyond environmental compliance and provides a network for members to advance sustainability initiatives through peer-to-peer training and mentoring. Over the years, ELP members have engaged in thousands of environmental efforts that have reduced their environmental impacts, increased efficiency, and improved their communities. Companies can be recognized at three different award levels: bronze achiever, sliver partner, and gold leader. Read about what ELP members have done – or are doing – to be good environmental stewards.
