Governor's Order- Moving the dial to orange

Governor Gary Herbert issued an order last night to officially move the COVID-19 alert status from red, high risk, to orange, moderate risk.  The designation becomes effectively less restrictive for residents of the state.

Utah is following the guidelines of the Utah Leads Together plan. The new order is spelled out in a 20 page addendum of phased guidelines Utah Leads Together 4.0 which you can see here.

Community leaders who wish to recommend more or less restrictive measures for their own city or town must speak to their local county health department and the matter will be taken to the state for a determination.
