ULCT/UAC Q&A with Lt. Governor Spencer Cox

ULCT joined UAC for a conversation with Lt. Governor Spencer Cox and learned more about the COVID-19 numbers in the state and the (hopefully) upcoming transition from the urgent to stabilization phase.  Responding to questions about summer celebrations and gatherings from local leaders, the Lt. Governor said public gatherings would be one of the last things that will be recommended for reopening due to the threat posed.  He refers to data from public events in other countries as an example.  To hear the complete conversation, click here.

One of the questions that arose was about the recommendations about mask usage. You can see the CDC recommendations HERE.Finally, you can see all of the aggregated resources at the state website https://coronavirus.utah.gov/ and on the league landing page here.

We will resume our weekly conversation with Lt. Governor Spencer Cox next Tuesday afternoon and we will hold another economic update town hall next Monday. The final details and times will come soon. You can see the link for yesterday’s call HERE. Remember to fill out the ULCT fiscal impact survey HERE by Thursday as we await the Treasury Department guidance about the CARES Act.
