The first North Worcestershire Business Awards is now open for entries! 

 

Are you an ambitious start-up, an outstanding entrepreneur or a great employer? This is your chance to collect an award at the brand new North Worcestershire Business Awards which are now open to enter.

There are five award categories, the winners of which will be presented a gorgeous glass trophy at the awards ceremony at Hogarth’s Stone Manor Hotel near Kidderminster on Thursday 28 November 2019.

The North Worcestershire Business Awards are being organised by North Worcestershire EDR and North Worcestershire Business Leaders (NWBL) alongside business leaders from across North Worcestershire. You can self nominate or have someone nominate you, and entering couldn’t be easier – complete an entry form online now!

Royal Enfield

Redditch Showcases Royal Enfield: Past, Present and Future

 

Redditch Borough Council is delighted to be working in partnership with Royal Enfield to celebrate the town’s links - past present and future - with the iconic brand.

A Royal Enfield Showcase was launched on June 1, when the new 2019 Bullet Trials motorcycle were unveiled. The showcase will remain open until mid July in the Kingfisher Centre so there is still time to visit and see the evocative images and stories – and of course the bikes!   On display will be an exciting range of 16 motorcycles ranging from Classic, Bullet, Interceptor INT 650, Continental GT 650, Himalayan and the remarkable concept presentation - “Concept KX”, a V-Twin motorcycle.

2020 Calendar winners

PR and Calendar Competition Celebrates North Worcestershire

 

Local business leaders were celebrating being selected as winners in a PR competition at Hogarths Stone Manor recently. As part of their prize, the North Worcestershire based businesses are to be highlighted in the ‘Celebrating North Worcestershire’ 2020 business calendar, and will benefit from a 12 month package of PR support.

Organised by North Worcestershire EDR and NWBL (North Worcestershire Business Leaders) the competition is aimed at showcasing the diversity and scale of business across the area.

Hot on the heels of its successful business lunch, Bromsgrove Rotary Business Club is now hosting an evening event at St John’s Wine Rooms in Bromsgrove.  The first event is after work tonight, Thursday 13 June 5.15pm to 7.30pm. Interested in supporting our local young people?

 

This month, thanks to Kidderminster based OGL Computer and ContinU the successful local Opening Doors to Business scheme is in full swing with schools and businesses working together to give young people a glimpse of what goes on behind the doors of local organisations.  The NWedR team has received a number of additional requests from schools and colleges across North Worcestershire, asking for local business leaders to engage with them to increase student awareness of future career opportunities. If you are interested in getting involved in supporting young local people in initiatives such as mock interviews, industry visits, careers talks, get in touch with us  and we will make the appropriate connections.

Primrose Hospice

Spotlight on North Worcestershire Charity - Primrose Hospice

 

For a fun filled afternoon, make a date to visit the Primrose Hospice annual summer fete on Saturday 22nd June. Primrose Hospice is an independent charity caring for patients in North East Worcestershire with life-limiting illnesses and supporting their families.  The charity provides hospice care, nurse-led clinics and family support. In order to continue to provide services free of charge to patients and their families, Primrose has to raise over £1.75 million every year. They rely heavily on the support of the local community, including businesses, as they need to generate in excess of 85% of their required income.
