 December 2020

Welcome to your December Artworks e-news. It's going to be a different Christmas for all of us this year. With the restrictions we have in place there has been less Christmas activity across the district than usual but it hasn't stopped people from doing what they can. I hope in this issue you will find ideas for getting crafty, supporting local creatives, staying connected with loved ones and most importantly having a rest and giving yourself a big pat on the back that you've made it through this crazy year! Merry Christmas.

Call out for Artists - Big Parade 2021

Worcester’s Big Parade has announced their first call for contributors to next year’s public art trail. They are looking for dazzling elephant designs which bring the same joy and buzz to the city that we saw back in 2018 when giraffes took to our streets and public spaces.

Anyone can submit designs – from established artists, to those who are, as yet, undiscovered. Each elephant sculpture is a three-dimensional blank canvas and will hold a wide range of media – from graffiti to mosaic, fine art and even metalwork. Entries close on Friday 8 January 2021.
