This training will support improved engagement, understanding of cultural differences as well as look at the importance of developing the identity needs of children and young people. Are you a neglect champion for your organisation? The WSSCP host two meetings per year to support this role. Neglect champions play a key role in supporting practitioners within their organisation to identify, refer and support children and families around concerns of neglect. This event is an opportunity to enhance your existing knowledge around neglect, link in with neglect champions from across other organisations and share good practice.

The CSA Centre’s first eLearning course, Identifying and responding to intra-familial child sexual abuse, takes just 90 minutes to complete, is entirely free and consists of three engaging modules, with interactive tasks, video explainers and a final assessment.

This training is designed for professionals at all stages of their career; for those new to safeguarding, or as a helpful refresher.

Are you passionate about safeguarding and child protection? Do you want to make a positive impact on the lives of children and families in West Sussex?

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join the West Sussex Children Safeguarding Partnership (WSSCP) as Lay Members.

As part of the 2023-26 Business Plan, the WSSCP is dedicated to strengthening independent scrutiny of our activities through a diverse range of community voices. We work with children, families, and young people to ensure every individual is supported to achieve their potential. Our aim is to develop best practices and foster a strong safeguarding culture in West Sussex, providing confidence and striving to improve outcomes for our children and families.

Lay Members of the WSSCP play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children within our community. You will work collaboratively with other partnership members to oversee and monitor the effectiveness of safeguarding practices and policies.
