West Sussex to remain in tier 2 high alert coronavirus restrictions
Following the Government’s review of England’s tier system earlier this week, West Sussex will be staying in tier 2 high alert coronavirus restrictions.
Tier 2 is for areas with a higher or rapidly rising level of infections. Please be mindful that if you live outside of West Sussex it is important you also consider the tier that applies where you live. A list of which tier applies to which area of the country can be found here.
The importance of this is because if you are required to travel into an area in a different tier (for example to go to work), you should follow the guidance for whichever area is in the higher tier.
Please remember that under Tier 2 you must not socialise with anyone you do not live with or who is not in your support bubble in any indoor setting, whether at home or in a public place, and you must not socialise in a group of more than 6 people outside, including in a garden or a public space.
This also means no change to the way we work, and staff should continue to work from home unless it is business critical they come into the workplace. If you do need to come into the workplace, please remind yourself of the process you should follow with regards to social distancing and ensure your individual Covid-19 risk assessment is up-to-date with your line manager.
