Bi-weekly newsletter in association with our Local Offer
Find out more on the West Sussex Local Offer. Please respond to send.ias@westsussex.gov.uk so they know how many cakes they need to get!
Please find a link to the new ‘Family Support and Short Breaks Statement 2018-2020’.
As you will see we have tried to make the Statement more helpful and informative to families but providing information on family support including other services that can help families. The document has been co-produced with the WSPCF.
The document is designed to give an overview of services that can support families along with links to more information that families can be signposted to.
Please familiarise yourselves with the document and share with families as it gives some very good information about the short breaks service.
Strengthening our West Sussex Inclusive Practice through School SEND Partnerships
50 West Sussex schools and education settings have been working together to share and develop effective support and practices for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities. A range of good practice reports have been produced to highlight examples of the work that is underway within local schools and the impact this is having on staff, children, young people and their families. Parent carer representatives from West Sussex Parent Carer Forum and Local Authority Officers have also supported the work.
The first three reports can be found on the Local Offer.
