Lessons4Life campaign
Teenagers take on a challenge to tackle a lack of life skills.
A concern that teenagers are lacking in everyday life skills has motivated a group of campaigners to spread their knowledge in West Sussex.
The group of 16 and 17 year olds have come together through the National Citizen Service (NCS) – a nationwide programme that aims to inspire long-term change through local community based action projects.

Apprenticeships available for young people
Balfour Betty is teamed up with
Young People’s Service and providing exclusive opportunities to the young
people that work with Young People’s Service.
Opportunities in Highways
Operatives and Business Administration apprentice. CV’s are welcome from young
people 18yrs plus for Business administration and 19yrs for Highways operatives
(age limit just been lowered)
Balfour Beatty would prefer the qualifications on the
adverts but recognise that those with these qualifications are unlikely to be
NEETS; we can therefore be flexible with the qualifications
Highways Operative: Above the 25th percentile for
online verbal and numerical reasoning tests we will set them and most
importantly - enthusiastic.
Business Administrator: We would like at least 3 GCSEs
A to C and for them to be computer literate and for them to score above 35th
percentile in the online verbal and numerical reasoning tests we will set
them. As you will appreciate if the business administrator struggles to
spell, write intelligible sentences and complete basic arithmetic then the
experience for both parties is likely to be painful
