Message from Phil Leivers - Head of Education Excellence

Dear Colleagues,

Director’s briefing from 8 - 9 am
School Improvement Day from 9:30am - 4:00pm

At the University of Wolverhampton Science Park, Glaisher Drive, Wolverhampton, WV10 9RU, The Auditorium room

I am sorry for any confusion that previous information relating to the day has caused but because of the venue we are using the Director’s Briefing and the School Improvement day is only face to face. We do not have the facility on this occasion to offer a hybrid meeting. This is something we will be looking at for next year. I hope to see as many of you as possible tomorrow.

The Director's briefing will include an update on the LA response to the White Paper and next steps. John Denley will also give an update from Public Health.

Rachel King will also remind us of the support available for young people at risk of exploitation and violence following recent tragic events in the City.

The agenda for the School Improvement Workshop for Head Teachers and Educational leaders will include:

  • An overview and key messages from the Primary end of key stage assessments across the City.
  • Presentations on Early Years and SEND

The agenda can be found here.

Please can Headteachers bring their perspective lite login to access schools data (this is available to schools that have purchased the Research and Assessment SLA)

If Headteachers have any difficulty in logging into their account then they can email research.assessment@wolverhampton.gov.uk for assistance. It is important to note that data is only available to schools who buy into the SLA through WVES.

These sessions will be relevant to all Head Teachers/Principals from all schools including Primary, Secondary, Maintained schools, Academies, Nursery Schools and Special Schools

Participants can book their place through WVES website.

Best wishes,

Phil

Phil Leivers

Head of Education Excellence
