Secretary of State for Housing visits city
Newly appointed Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, Robert Jenrick MP made Wolverhampton one of his first visits as he returned to his home city last week.
The former Wolverhampton Grammar School pupil met with City of Wolverhampton Council Leader, Councillor Ian Brookfield, and regional partners to view key housing and regeneration sites, with a focus on helping increase the pace of building more affordable housing and city centre living.

City of Wolverhampton Council is considering major redevelopment plans for council housing in New Park Village.

 Learning Quarter funding approved
It's great news for the city's education, jobs and regeneration plans as funding is agreed for the final design of the ambitious City Learning Quarter.
The former Faces nightclub building on the corner of Garrick Street and Bilston Street is being brought down by contractors and the demolition works are due for completion by the end of the summer. Read more...
 Wolverhampton railway station development hits new heights
The Wolverhampton Interchange project has hit new heights with the completion of the roof on phase one of the new railway station.
The roof is now water tight, the ground floor and first floor slabs have been fitted, and work has begun on installing the external cladding on the building. Read more and watch the video.
