 ebay concept store sees businesses double sales
eBay’s first-ever UK high street concept store has helped businesses taking part in its Retail Revival scheme reach £4 million in sales since September 2018.
The partnership with the City of Wolverhampton is helping small retailers grow their businesses both online and offline, with 64 local businesses increasing year-on-year sales by 40% since the programme’s launch last September.
The concept store, located in the heart of Wolverhampton at i10, offered participating SMEs the opportunity to showcase and sell their products for a month. Figures reveal that sales for the businesses taking part more than doubled during the time the pop-up store was open.  Have your say on city's 5-year housing strategy
City of Wolverhampton residents and stakeholders are being invited to have their say on the city’s Housing Strategy.
The new draft strategy ‘Better Homes for All’ sets out City of Wolverhampton Council’s ambitions over five years from 2019 to 2024.
It outlines the three key priorities as more and better homes, safer and healthier homes, and access to a secure home.
The focus is on increasing the pace and number of new homes in the city to meet growing demand, improving standards for those renting in the city through private landlords or council housing, and delivering additional support for residents who need help accessing and sustaining secure accommodation.  New City of Wolverhampton railway station building making its mark
Good progress continues to be made on phase one of City of Wolverhampton’s new railway station building - and it is already dominating the city centre skyline.
Contractors Galliford Try have completed the steel framework, floor slabs have been laid, block work for the external walls continues, and cladding the building is underway.
Work to make the roof watertight is ongoing and once completed will pave the way for the internal walls and ceilings to be constructed, and the services and telecoms installed.
It is all part of delivering a £150 million transport hub to provide an attractive commercial gateway to those entering the city by national rail, bus or tram. Read more...
 Business support scheme for Bilston Road traders affected by tram works
City of Wolverhampton Council has helped secure access to a business support scheme for businesses affected by the 2017 Bilston Road tram track replacement works.
East Park ward councillors campaigned hard on behalf of the traders, who will need to meet the eligibility criteria to progress their claims.
Independent assessor, RSM UK Tax and Accounting Ltd, has been appointed to act impartially to assess claims - and their decision will be final. Read more...
