 VIDEO: Businesses Aim for Gold at Molineux launch
More than 40 City of Wolverhampton businesses this week became the latest to join the Aim for Gold business growth programme.
It provides small and medium enterprises (SMEs) with one to one coaching, bespoke growth planning and peer to peer learning valued at up to £2,000.
The part-funded European Regional Development Fund programme led by City of Wolverhampton Council’s business development team, also offers a further opportunity to access a cash contribution, averaging £10,000, towards the value of their business.
The three-year programme will support 120 companies, with a further two cohorts to be announced in autumn 2019 and winter 2019/20. Read more...

 New national construction centre coming to the city
A new national centre for construction excellence will be built in the City of Wolverhampton.
The West Midlands Combined Authority has agreed to establish the National Centre for Construction and Development Excellence in the heart of the Black Country.
It is hoped the centre, which will be based at the University of Wolverhampton’s Springfield Campus and will incorporate existing sites such as the West Midlands Construction University Technical College and the Elite Centre for Manufacturing Skills Hub, will propel the Black Country to become the world leader in state of the art construction. An exciting month of events to showcase the fantastic entertainment offer in City of Wolverhampton kicks off on Saturday, June 29 with a celebration of Armed Forces Day at West Park.
Throughout July, residents and visitors will be able to enjoy family-friendly events, exhibitions, spectator sports, school holiday activities, live performances and much more.

 Show home opens at popular WV Living 'Sweet Briary' development
WV Living’s show home at its Bilston ‘Sweet Briary’ development is now open – with many of the plots already snapped up.
City of Wolverhampton Council-owned housing company has employed local contractor Jessup to build the 34 properties for market sale and rent on the site formerly occupied by Ettingshall Primary School.
Work started on site last summer and is expected to be completed this winter.
Sweet Briary and neighbouring WV Living development ‘Peascroft’, on Prouds Lane, now have just ten plots remaining for sale out of 74 being built. Read more...
