City Carer: Winter 2018
The new edition of the City carer magazine is out now! If you haven’t got a copy you can see it online on our website or request a copy by contacting the team. As well as information about the Carers Christmas Lunch, staying well during Winter and Welfare Rights update we are also asking raising awareness about the following survey:
National Survey: ‘Caring for Others’
In early November, a National Survey will be going out to a random selection of Adult carers in Wolverhampton*. This survey is called ‘Caring for Others’ and is an opportunity for you to have your say as a carer in terms of the support that you receive and the impact of caring on your quality of life. The survey is administered by NHS Digital and all the information gathered will be treated as confidential. The results will be used to help assess and improve local services. Nationally this survey is very important in helping decision makers to understand the views and experiences of carers. The Carer Support Team is part of Adult Social Care so please use this opportunity to feedback about the service and support that we provide. Even if you are not one of the carers that have been randomly selected to complete a survey you are always welcome to give feedback directly to our Carer Support Team about any of the support and information that we offer, at any time.
You can contact us by emailing carer.support@wolverhampton.gov.uk, calling 01902 553409 or you can write to us at Carer Support Team, Wolverhampton Central Library, Snow Hill, WV1 3AX.
* By ‘Carer’, NHS Digital define this as someone who looks after a partner, family member or friend in need of support or services because of frailty, physical or learning disability, or illness, including mental illness, and who is aged 18 or over and lives in Wolverhampton.
