Tasty new business to open in Queen Square

A new business will open its doors in City of Wolverhampton’s Queen Square from 10am on Saturday. 

Tony’s Delicatessen has taken over as a tenant of the council-owned building that formerly housed Yoo Recruit – the council’s recruitment agency that is now located on Cleveland Street.

School of Architecture

Work starts on new School of Architecture

Preparatory work has started on the University of Wolverhampton’s School of Architecture and the Built Environment at the £100 million Springfield Campus.

Planning permission was granted in April and now specialist contractors have started work on site to prepare it for construction to start.

The original scheme was altered after pre-construction works on the historic site discovered structures of some of the original buildings were not viable so could not be incorporated into the plans. Read more...

Council and city college forge closer ties to enhance future growth

Closer ties have been forged between City of Wolverhampton Council and City of Wolverhampton College to secure the college’s financial future. 

The new relationship will provide a boost to the jobs and growth agenda in the city – helping to get more people into employment. 

City of Wolverhampton Council is providing a financial guarantee and governance support to enhance the further education offer.
