 Galliford Try to deliver more than a station
The contractor appointed to build City of Wolverhampton’s
new railway station has committed to deliver further social and economic
benefits to the city.
They have started early site works in preparation for the start
of demolition of the existing railway station - with the new station building
expected to be completed in 2020.
During that time Galliford Try will implement a Community
Benefits Plan in the city, covering a range of education, employment and supply
chain activity.
Throughout the works rail services at the station will continue to run as normal, as the new station building is being built adjacent to the current one. Read more...

City of Wolverhampton will be presenting at MIPIM 2018 as
part of the Midlands UK delegation.
The world’s largest property event takes place in Cannes between
Tuesday, March 13 and Friday 16.
Multi-billion-pound regeneration is changing the face of the
City of Wolverhampton and the delegation heading to France will be promoting a
wealth of attractive opportunities for developers and investors.
2018 is going to be a big year for regeneration in the city.
Leading the way are plans to build on the success of the UK’s premier advanced
manufacturing business park, i54, major works on the £150 million city centre
Interchange scheme, and the start on site of the £55 million Westside
leisure-led development.

University of Wolverhampton becomes city welcome signs advertising partner
City of
Wolverhampton Council has secured the University of Wolverhampton as an advertising
partner to help raise the profile of the city.
The university has
agreed to cover the costs of the 26 recently-installed city boundary signs for the
next five years – with each one now also showing university branding.
The signs on the
main routes into the city showcase Wolverhampton’s proud heritage and profile city
attractions such as Wolverhampton Art Gallery, Civic and Wulfrun Halls, Grand
Theatre, Banks’s Brewery, Molineux Stadium, Monmore Green Stadium, and Wolverhampton

Popular Housing Fair at gallery back as part of Residents' Programme
City of
Wolverhampton's second annual Housing Fair will take place on Sunday, March 18
as part of this year’s Residents’ Programme.
It follows on the
success of last year’s inaugural event when more than 550 visitors dropped in
for help and advice.
The free Housing
Fair will again be hosted at Wolverhampton Art Gallery, Lichfield Street, WV1
1DU, between 11am and 3.30pm.
It will see around 20 exhibitors, including house
builders, private landlords, mortgage advisers, estate agents, solicitors, and
