Job numbers and name revealed for BUV pub

The name has been revealed for the new Marston’s family-friendly pub restaurant on the Bilston Urban Village development – as well as the number of jobs it will create.

The Bankfield Road venue is set to be called ‘White Rabbit’, a nod to the mining heritage of Bilston and the surrounding areas during the 18th century.

Creating up to 45 new jobs, the pub is expected to open in early October and will include a spacious garden area and designated car park of over 60 spaces. Read more...

City art gallery plays host to its first wedding

Love was in the air as Wolverhampton Art Gallery staged its first wedding ceremony on Saturday. 

Bride Nisha Patel, aged 29, was eager to return to her home city of Wolverhampton to tie the knot with Northampton-born Bhavin Pandya, 28. 

When she heard the Lichfield Street venue had been granted a license to hold weddings, she and her husband-to-be jumped at the chance to book their special day there. Read more...

Tentec build underway in flurry of i54 South Staffordshire activity

World-leading Swedish engineering group Atlas Copco has started the build of a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at i54 South Staffordshire.

It is the third major business in recent months to begin construction at the advanced manufacturing hub.

The development will be the new headquarters of Tentec Ltd which is one of the leading providers of bolt tensioning solutions globally.

The Tentec development follows hot on the heels of Eurofins, the food testing company, and ERA, the leading British security hardware and electronics business, starting work on an expansion and a new build respectively at i54. Read more...
