 WV Living unveils images of first homes
WV Living has
unveiled exciting designs of its first houses to be built in the City of
Wolverhampton.
The seven types of
homes – The Pelham, The Bantock, The Moseley, The Wightwick, The Newbolt, The Hayward
and The Leveson – have been named after popular landmarks and famous people
associated with the city.
They will be
showcased at the City Housing Fair on Sunday.
Work on the first
phase of WV Living homes is set to start this summer, with planning permission
now granted for 52 units, including 13 affordable homes, on the site of the
former Danesmore School.

 Venue announced for inaugural WIRE Awards
The venue for the
city’s first annual Wolverhampton Independent Retail Excellence (WIRE) Awards
has been announced amidst a flurry of entries.
Molineux Stadium’s
WV1 Suite will play host to the event, with Corporate Wolves and Venue Catering
Partner the venue sponsors.
Details of how to
get tickets for the event on Tuesday, July 18, will be made available soon at www.wirewards.co.uk.
The awards will
also be supporting charity Promise Dreams on the night.
Nominations continue
to fly in for the WIRE Awards and more than 50 businesses have made 150 entries
across 11 categories.

Plenty on offer to home seekers at City's first Housing Fair on Sunday
City
of Wolverhampton’s first Housing Fair on Sunday (April 2) will give home
seekers the opportunity to speak face-to-face to people in the business.
The
FREE event, which is part of the city’s Residents Week (April 1-7), will take
place at Wolverhampton Art Gallery, Lichfield Street, WV1 1DU, between 11am and
3.30pm.
There
will be a host of information available on new homes, homes to rent, help to
buy and shared ownership schemes, mortgages, over 50s options, home
improvements and energy efficiency.
Around
20 exhibitors are confirmed, including Butters John Bee, Connells, David Wilson
Homes, Whg, Wrekin Housing Trust, Housing & Care 21,
Abbeyfield, L&A Lettings, TSB, RBS, Mortgage Bureau, Complete Advice

'Apprentices are great for business' drop-in session for city employers
Employers
can find out all they need to know about how an apprentice can benefit their
business at a Residents Week event on Tuesday, April 4, between 5pm and 7pm, at
Wolverhampton Racecourse, Gorsebrook Road, Wolverhampton, WV6 0PE.
Learn
about apprenticeship reforms, which include changes to how apprenticeships are
funded and the training provided, and the incentives and support available to
take on an apprentice.
Apprentices
are shown to boost productivity, competitiveness, and build skills across the
workforce.
Twenty-minute sessions are running at 5pm, 5.30pm, 6pm or 6.30pm. Employers
