LDP Consultation

The Deposit Local Development Plan sets out the Council's proposed planning policy up to the year 2028, identifying what can be built and where. Based on all the information gathered and responses to the previous stages of consultation the plan sets out:

  • a strategy, objectives and key policies;
  • policies to promote and control development;
  • allocations of land for housing, employment and other uses including Gypsy and Traveller sites;
  • policies and proposals to protect sensitive areas, including a Green Wedge; and
  • maps showing the Plans proposals and constraints.

The consultation period which originally ran from 9th April to 31st May 2018 has been extended until 16th July 2018 because additional/amended information has been placed on the Council's consultation portal.  This extension will allow as many people as possible to make their views known to us. If you have already made representations you do not need to make them again, but you may wish to look at the additional information and make further representation.
