The contractor on the site, ENGIE, will continue to work permitted hours, from 8am to 6pm, Mondays to Fridays and 8am to 1pm on Saturdays. To speed up work on the Sansom Road scheme, the contractor will work on most Saturdays from February 2021 onwards.
Disturbance to residents will be kept to a minimum.
The Government’s current national lockdown guidelines has made clear that construction work should continue if safe to do so. All sites are COVID secure, clearly signed, and respect social distancing guidelines, with hand sanitation stations.
Council officers regularly visit construction sites across the borough to ensure that regulations are being followed.
We have had complaints that some of the contractors have been parking in resident parking bays. We would like to reassure you that we are investigating these complaints with ENGIE and will enforce if necessary.
