Following the successful launch of two virtual High Streets - Leytonstone Town Centre and Walthamstow Village last Saturday two more have now been launched providing residents with the chance to #ChooseLocalWF, support local independent businesses and all from the comfort of their own home.
The new ones are Highams Park and E4, which covers Chingford.
Highams Park
In a message to the area virtual High Street coordinator, Katie Ventresca, explained why it has been set up: " Welcome to the very first Highams Park Online High Street.
"Come in, take a look around and make sure to visit the ‘albums’ to see the full line-up of shops.
"Created during 2020 following a second lockdown due to COVID-19 and to help our local small businesses to continue to function during these unprecedented times.
"Please contact the sellers direct if you’re interested in an item and share the group to help it grow."
E4 (Chingford)
You can join the online high street and browse the albums to find an amazing range of products and gifts ideas from local crafters, creatives and businesses.
Walthamstow Village
The businesses across Walthamstow Village, from Orford Road to the Ravenswood Estate, have come together with support from the Council to launch a virtual marketplace and guide to the area’s diverse independent businesses.
This site launched on Small Business Saturday, 5 December 2020 and will be kept up-to-date with news, events, offers and other activity throughout the year.
Their brilliant new Instagram page is also live @walthamstow_village.

Leytonstone Town Centre
The Leytonstone Town Team, working with the Council, launched a virtual high street for the area last week.
This showcases the wealth of businesses and highlight how you can purchase goods in person, via click and collect or delivery.
The website also host details of the Town Centre’s exciting lighting and projection displays from its Light Up Leytonstone programme this December.

Despite the tough year they had with restricted trading during the Covid-19 pandemic market traders across the borough are still showing the true meaning of Christmas by backing charities.
The Chingford Virtual Christmas Market in November launched a charity raffle from the event.

Lots of fabulous prizes and 100 per cent of the proceeds are going to Crisis the homelessness charity.
That raffle has been drawn and the winners list is available.
Meanwhile the food traders at Lloyd Park Market, Walthamstow, are supporting One Feeds Two this Christmas and ealso xploring opportunities to donate leftover food to local homeless charities.

Beulah Road Studios, in Walthamstow, is hosting an online Creative Advent Exhibition, every day until Thursday 24 December 2020

2020 would have been the sixth year of Leyton&Stone Designers Christmas Markets!
Organisers Esme and Liz said: “Due to COVID-19 we won’t be able to enjoy the lovely socialness, music and fun of the markets, as well as the browsing each other’s stalls, chatting with customers, posing for photos with Santa and mulled wine, but we can do a small online event to try and help those traders who'd usually be getting ready for our markets about now!"
This virtual market ends on Friday 11 December 2020.

Europe's longest High Street market will be open an extra day in the run up to Christmas.
The socially distanced traders will be offering a range of fresh produce and Christmas gifts on Monday 21 December 2020 right the way through until Christmas Eve so do check them out.
Great bargains and on your doorstep too.

The St Andrew's Church Fairtrade Stall is doubling its opening hours from this weekend until Christmas.
It will now be open every Saturday and Sunday, 11.30am - 1.30pm, on Colworth Road, Leytonstone E11 1JD.
The stall has been trading throughout lockdown and will contine trading for food but will not be able to sell non-food products.
Thw stall will continue to sell the usual Fairtrade groceries, including pasta, rice, teas, coffees, biscuits, spreads, nuts, dried fruits, chocolate and lots more, with plenty of vegan and gluten free products.

Bee17 Village Honey is aiming to boost its Christmas trade with a stall outside the shop at 6 Beulah Road, Walthamstow Village on Saturday 12 December 2020, 11am – 4pm
For sale will be raw runny Village honey and soft-set honey, handmade honey soaps, body-scrub and beeswax candles, Village lavender bags, botanical and wildlife cards and gifts. All profits from gifts and from two hives go to Walthamstow Village in Bloom.

The Christmas Tree Market is back at Lloyds Park until Sunday 20 December 2020.
Just call in at the Winns Avenue entrance to the park and choose your tree while keeping a safe social distance from everyone else and remember to wear your face mask

Up against more than 100 other entries, the awards recognise innovative and impactful communications.
Businesses can get involved with the campaign by sharing their services on social media using the hashtag #chooselocalWF.

Traders at the Sunday Social Market in Walthamstow are offering 20 per cent off everything for emergency workers and council staff until the end of 2020.
To claim your discount just show a current staff pass to the market trader when buying and they will take 20 per cent off straight away.
This applies to all NHS staff as well as police officers and fire fighters.
Around half the traders come from Waltham Forest as part of the offer for local residents to #ChooseLocalWF.

Market traders across the borough are reminded that prices must be clearly displayed for all items for sale, including hot food.
Waltham Forest Trading Standards Officers regularly visit markets in the borough to ensure compliance and give advice to traders.
Traders are warned that if they are found to be breaching the law, Trading Standards Officers will take enforcement action which could lead to a court summons.
