Roadworks to take place next week

Juniper House entrance

From Monday 16 November 2020 work will be taking place to bring utilities into the Juniper House site.

This will involve significant work at the main entrance to the site which may cause some noise disturbance to local residents.

It is expected that the major works will be completed within two days, but other work will continue until the end of the week.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

On Thursday 5 November 2020 the site cabins at Juniper House were broken into between 9.40pm and 10pm

The following tools, worth around £30,000, were taken:

  • Four Leica rotating lasers
  • Two TS16 robotic EDM’s (surveying equipment)
  • Five Makita skill saws
  • Three petrol saws
  • Four Hilti SDS drills
  • One paddle mixer

To get away with so many tools a vehicle would be needed.

From early 2021 this building be used as the site offices to make more space available at ground level for the building work.

Elsewhere on the site the slabs for the upper ground and first floors have been laid.

Keeping construction sites safe

The Government’s current national lockdown guidelines has made clear that construction work should continue if safe to do so.

All sites are COVID secure, clearly signed, and respect social distancing guidelines, with hand sanitation stations.

Council officers regularly visit construction sites across the borough to ensure that regulations are being followed.
