Work was suspended due to the COVID-19 Pandemic Lockdown and resumed on Wednesday 13 May 2020 following Government guidelines and other advice on social distancing.
In order to complete the remaining works we will adopt the following phased approach in order to safely complete the works:
- The new footways and cycle tracks should be completed by the end of June 2020
- Road resurfacing will follow the completion of the footways and cycle tracks and is due to take place by August 2020
|
- Permanent cycle hoops will be installed outside and opposite the station by the end of May. The existing temporary cycle parking will remain to increase capacity further at this time
- The new layout has provided wider footways. The resumption of works will now focus on maximising footway space further for pedestrians
- The permanent Transport for London(TfL) crossing signals are now working. We will approach TfL to increase pedestrian crossing times to help minimise pedestrian queuing around the junction.
