Work begins this week to prepare for demolition

This week will see the start of work at Juniper House to prepare for complete demolition later this summer.

This will include removing internal fittings from the building.

The work is expected to take around two weeks to complete with contractors on site Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm.

The contractor, Hill, has a resident and community liaison team in place so if you have any questions you can contact them on free phone 0800 032 6760 or by email.

Juniper House scheme will bring benefits for community

The Juniper House development will revitalise a key part of Walthamstow Town Centre by providing new commercial space on Hoe Street.

It will bring significant benefits for local residents including a new nursery, new affordable homes and a new pocket park at the corner of First Avenue and Hoe Street.  The scheme will feature environmentally friendly measures including , including air-source heat pumps and solar panels which will provide heating and hot water for the apartments and cooling to the nursery and commercial elements. It is a car free scheme, except for people with disabilities.
