Inspire The Next Generation of Waltham Forest's Workforce

Cultural Leadership programme

There is a new and exciting opportunity for local businesses to improve the life chances of young people in Waltham Forest.

Waltham Forest Council's Cultural Leadership Programme (CLP) offers creative businesses  the opportunity to work with talented trainees to provide a rich resource of creativity, energy and commitment to kick start their careers.

CLP has hand-selecting 100 16-25 year, young creatives through an exciting programme of training, mentoring, networking and work experience and we need local businesses to provide a platform for trainees to display their talents.

In a sector so reliant on connections, Waltham Forest's young people need your help to access opportunities that are usually out of reach, to ensure that the brightest skills and talent can stay in the Borough.

The first committed trainees have just been confirmed, with interests ranging from architecture, event design, creative tech and theatre. We are preparing trainees to hit the ground running in work placements of 3 days to 2 weeks.

To get more details and to discuss your potential involvement, please email Michael Christov.

Providus Financial Gains Living Wage Accreditation

living wage

Become a living wage employer, take a stand to ensure your employees earn a living wage.

Providus Financial have become the latest business in Waltham Forest to receive the London Living Wage Accreditation. Based in The Avenue, Higham’s Park, Providus Financial believes that the accreditation will bring big benefits to the business.

The company, which employs 10 staff, specialises in financial planning, helping its clients provide for their family’s future and live the best life they can.

Director, Antony Smith said: “Providus has always paid the Living Wage within the business as we believe that our staff is our best asset – without them we can’t deliver a high-quality service to our customers.

“The Business Breakfast held by Waltham Forest Council and Citizens UK was a trigger for us and we decided to go for the accreditation as we believe:

  • It is the right thing to do
  • It helps us attract quality staff members.
