NPS supports Procurex Wales Live 2016 & GO Awards Wales 2016/17
Are
you ready to play your part in Wales’ Day of Procurement?
Procurex
Wales Live returns to Cardiff this year, following the amazing success of the first
event of its kind in 2015. Taking place at the Motorpoint Arena on 6 October
2016, the event will be followed by the inaugural GO Awards Wales that evening
at the Marriott Hotel in Cardiff.
This
Day of Procurement will enhance the knowledge and understanding of both buyers
and suppliers engaged in the public procurement process. Through a mixture of presentations and
exhibitions, attendees will be able to learn more about the planned initiatives
and legislative changes that are taking place within this evolving marketplace.
There
will be opportunities to network and engage with key decision makers from
across the Welsh public sector buyer community, including representatives from
local government, health, education, housing and the Welsh Government.
Over 500
delegates attended Procurex Wales Live 2015 – don’t miss your chance to be a
part of this year’s event!

IT Products and Services Launch Events
The NPS ICT Category team held launch events in Swansea and Llandudno last month, for the IT Products and Services (ITPS) Framework Agreement which went live on 4 January. The events showcased a number of framework suppliers' goods and services to Welsh public sector buyers, and offered opportunity for customers to learn more about how to use the framework.
The events, which were the first of this type, were attended by 106 Welsh public sector buyers and 31 SMEs.
David Nicholson, Head of Commercial & Procurement ICT said:
"This was a great event and gave the category team the opportunity to meet both the buyers and suppliers and see what a real benefit and difference the NPS ICT contracts are starting to make."
Feedback has been extremely positive and suppliers are now actively promoting the framework by following up buyer and supplier opportunities, with one Wrexham based SME being added to an ITPS framework supplier's supply chain within one week of the event.
The ITPS framework suppliers in attendance were, Centerprise; Comcen; Comparex; Computacenter; Dell; Millennium Business Systems; Softcat; SCC; and XMA. ITPS partner vendors also in attendance included; Cisco; Citrix; EMC; HP; Lenovo; Microsoft; Toshiba; Epson; Promethean; Polycom; SMART; Yorktel; ElectraNet; NC; Clevertouch; Alcatel-Lucent; Brocade; Huawei; Digital Message; UCi2i; Nimble; Checkpoint; and AMD.
