Rhagfyr 2022
Wrth i ni gychwyn edrych yn ôl ar 2022, roeddwn am i chi wybod fy mod yn gwerthfawrogi’ch holl waith chi a’ch cydweithwyr dros blant Cymru yn fawr, ac i ddiolch yn ddiffuant i chi’n bersonol ac ar ran fy nghyd-Weinidogion.
Rwy’n gwybod bod y blynyddoedd diwethaf wedi bod yn anodd i bawb sy’n gweithio â phlant. O gofio ein bod mewn cyfnod anodd iawn, rwyf hyd yn oed yn fwy diolchgar i chi am eich gwaith caled a’ch ymroddiad. Mae’ch ymdrechion i gefnogi plant a theuluoedd yn ystod y pandemig, cyfyngiadau’r cyfnod clo a thrwy’r argyfwng costau byw presennol yn glodwiw a syfrdanol ac mae pawb yn eu gwerthfawrogi.
Mae’r cyfnod hwn yn parhau i fod yn ansicr, ac mae llawer ohonoch yn wynebu heriau personol wrth i chi weithio â phlant a theuluoedd sydd yn dibynnu arnoch.
Mae Llywodraeth Cymru yn gwneud popeth o fewn ei gallu ac fe fyddwn yn parhau i wneud mwy i gefnogi’r gwaith gwych sy’n cael ei wneud gennych.
Rwy’n gwybod o’m profiad i fel Aelod o’r Senedd, a thrwy fy ngwaith fel Gweinidog yn y Cabinet, pa fath o effaith y mae eich gwaith chi’n ei gael ar fywyd plentyn. Rydych chi’n gwneud gwahaniaeth mawr.
Am hynny, rydym oll yn diolch o waelod calon i chi, yn bersonol ac fel Llywodraeth, ac yn gobeithio y gallwch gael hoe dros yr ŵyl.

As we start to look back at 2022, I wanted to let you know of my very great appreciation of everything you and your colleagues have done for the children of Wales; and to send you my own and my ministerial colleagues’ heartfelt and sincere thanks.
I know that the last few years have been difficult for everyone working with children. Given these tough times, I am even more grateful for all the hard work and commitment that you have put in. The efforts you have made to support our children and families during the pandemic, through lockdown restrictions and into the current cost of living crisis are remarkable and widely appreciated.
These continue to be uncertain times and many of you will be facing your own personal challenges as you work alongside the children and families who need you.
The Welsh Government is doing what we can and we will continue to do more to support the amazing work that you do.
I know through my own work a Member of the Senedd, as well as what I see in my ministerial role, just what an impact you can have in a child’s life. You can make all the difference.
For that all of us owe you a real debt of gratitude and I wanted to say an enormous ‘Thank you’ and I hope that you are able to have a break over the coming holidays.
