COVID-19: Cyflenwadau Bwyd ar gyfer Cartrefi Gofal
Mae Llywodraeth Cymru yn gweithio’n galed i sicrhau bod pobl agored i niwed yn cael eu cefnogi yn ystod y pandemig COVID-19, gan gynnwys sicrhau y gall cartrefi gofal gael at gyflenwadau bwyd rheolaidd. Rydym yn gwybod bod rhai cartrefi gofal wedi cael trafferthion wrth geisio cael at gyflenwadau bwyd digonol, yn sgil y cyfyngiadau a osodwyd gan archfarchnadoedd. Rydym yn gweithio gyda’n partneriaid mewn gwasanaethau cyflenwi bwyd a hoffem eich sicrhau bod anghenion pobl agored i niwed yn cael eu blaenoriaethu.
Rydym wedi cymryd y camau canlynol i ddiogelu cyflenwadau bwyd ar gyfer cartrefi gofal.
- Ar gyfer cartrefi gofal sy’n parhau i siopa mewn archfarchnadoedd, dylent ddangos tystiolaeth bod ganddynt statws blaenoriaeth, megis papur swyddogol â phennawd neu ddogfennau adnabod eraill. Bydd hyn yn eu galluogi i brynu digon o gyflenwadau i ddiwallu anghenion eu preswylwyr.
- Mae Menter a Busnes yn bartner strategol i Is-adran Bwyd a Diod Cymru Llywodraeth Cymru. Bydd yn cysylltu â phob cartref gofal yng Nghymru i weld a oes angen cymorth arnynt o ran cyflenwadau bwyd ac i’w cynorthwyo i gael gafael ar gyflenwadau drwy gyfanwerthwyr. Mae cyfanwerthwyr hefyd wedi cadarnhau eu bod yn gallu cyflenwi pob cartref gofal yng Nghymru a chreu cyfrifon ar-lein a threfnu danfoniadau. Covid 19: Food Supplies for Care Homes
The Welsh Government is working hard to ensure vulnerable people are supported during the Covid 19 outbreak, this includes making sure that care homes can access regular food supplies. We know that with the restrictions imposed by supermarkets some care homes have encountered problems in accessing adequate food supplies. We are working with our partners in food supply services and want to re-assure you that the needs of vulnerable people are being prioritised.
We have taken the following action to protect food supplies for care homes.
- For care homes continuing to shop at supermarkets, they should provide evidence that they have priority status, such as a letter head or other identifying documents. This will enable them to purchase enough supplies to meet their residents’ needs.
- Menter a Busnes is a strategic partner of the Welsh Government’s Food and Drink Wales Division. It will contact all care homes in Wales to see if they need assistance with food supplies and to help them obtain these from wholesalers. Wholesalers have also confirmed that they are able to supply all care homes in Wales and can set up online accounts and schedule deliveries. We will continue to monitor the supply and distribution of food for care homes as the outbreak develops, to help ensure that continuous food supplies are maintained.
