Roll-out of COVID vaccination for 12 to 15-year-olds gathers pace in Wales

As 12 to 15-year-olds across Wales start to receive their COVID-19 vaccinations, the Health Minister today (4 October) confirmed they will all be offered a vaccine by the end of October half-term.

Young Money Matters

Young Money will be delivering 16,500 copies of Your Money Matters, a financial education textbook, free into over 200 secondary schools across Wales this month, thanks to funding from Martin Lewis and the Money and Pensions Service. The textbook, which is in both English and Welsh, is accompanied by a digital Teacher’s Guide and a PowerPoint edition of the textbook.

Since the start of the latest term, hundreds of new terms from subjects such as Drama, Criminology and Sociology have been added to Y Termiadur Addysg's terminology dictionary within the Ap Geiriaduron app. The Ap Geiriaduron dictionary app is available from the App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android), and will automatically update itself over Wifi if already installed.

The new look ‘Keeping safe online’ on Hwb

The ‘Keeping safe online’ area of Hwb has been completely refreshed to help you find up-to-date online safety, cyber security and data protection guidance, resources and events. The new topic pages include online sexual harrassment and sharing nudes and semi-nudes.

Hwb user research and testing group

Join the group with your Hwb account using the code lxrcf14 in Microsoft Teams. We will be regularly adding new links to user tests and surveys for you to complete online. Your responses and feedback will be anonymous and will help us to continually improve Hwb.
