£2m EU funds to tackle in-work poverty in south east Wales

Newport Council

Nearly £2m of EU funding has been awarded to Newport Council to tackle in-work poverty and challenges faced by lower-skilled workers in south east Wales. The Skills@Work scheme will support around 1,400 people over the next four years, with a range of community-based learning opportunities, to help learners gain qualifications, improve their job security and earning potential.

Register your Horizon 2020 project

Horizon 2020 research funding awarded to Welsh organisations is protected by the UK government’s lifetime expenditure guarantee. If you are a current recipient of Horizon 2020 funding, enter details of your project at the UK’s Research and Innovation (UKRI) project portal so that UKRI has your information in the event that the UK exits the EU without a deal.
