This year’s National
Digital Learning Event on 20th June will showcase innovative digital practices
being developed in schools across Wales.
Practitioners will give practical insights into
their approaches to implementing the Digital Competence Framework as part of
wider curriculum reform.
If
you’re short of reading time or want a non-screen-based way to stay up-to-date
with Wales’ education reforms, you now have option to listen via Spreaker or on iTunes.
Once the last test for the testing cycle has been administered, the headteacher must sign confirming that all guidelines were followed. The declaration for 2018 must be signed and submitted to the relevant consortium by the 15 June.

The
‘Don’t be a Bystander’ campaign aims to show how powerful a positive
intervention can be for someone who is experiencing or who has experienced
violence against women, domestic abuse and sexual violence. This
multi-media campaign includes a film, radio, digital and social media.
Hwb User Management Portal
The new Hwb User Management Portal is now available for users in beta release. A link to the portal is available in the Hwb tools waffle. User guides for the portal can be found here.
Cyw has worked with Canolfan Peniarth to create a
scheme of work which we hope will assist teachers to celebrate Cyw's birthday.
The scheme contains a wealth of ideas which all link to the Foundation Phase
Profile so that pupils can play, laugh and learn.
This resource for Key Stage 2 learners will explain
the important concepts of the equator and hemispheres, with a simple hands-on
demonstration.
What would your pupils do
with a fiver in just 4 weeks? The Fiver challenge is a UK wide initiative for
all school children aged 5-11. In Wales the challenge takes place during June with competition
winners invited to awards ceremony.
From 22 - 24 June, The Great Get Together will
be taking place across the country, and we’re asking schools to take part
with a special assembly on Friday 22nd June. Resources are now available to
download on the schools page of The Great Get
Together website.

Don’t forget your next resource delivery should arrive at your school from the week
commencing 18 June. This delivery will contain Family Guides, which you can
share with parents / carers.
The event which is to being held in the National Assembly will showcase the promotion of the
rights of children and young people. The event will take the form of a
‘marketplace’ with guests welcome to visit the stalls to take part in informal
discussions and activities.
The Centre of
Excellence programme recognises and rewards schools who are committing to,
developing and continuing excellence in financial education in their own school
and beyond.
