At the Wales Export Conference, the Cabinet Secretary for
Economy & Transport announced the programme of export market visits and
exhibitions for 2018-19.The programme includes key trade exhibitions such as Medica
& FIME for the life science sector, MRO Europe for the aerospace sector and
ADIPEC for oil & gas.The programme also includes market visits to Ireland,
China, Sweden, Denmark, Japan and Qatar.
Horizon 2020 is hosting a free event looking at how an
outward-facing Wales benefits from engagement with the EU Framework Programmes
for Research and Innovation and will explore how continued commitment to
collaborate with Europe and the rest of the World will drive Wales’
competitiveness and growth.
The project already operates across North and West Wales
and the South Wales Valleys. It will now be rolled out to support businesses
across the rest of Wales, including Cardiff, Newport, Vale of Glamorgan,
Monmouthshire, Powys, Flintshire and Wrexham.
