Google for Education to be rolled out in Welsh schools next year

Teachers will soon have more choice about the digital tools they use thanks to the roll-out of Google for Education, Kirsty Williams has announced. The new software is a direct result of feedback from schools and will be made available through Hwb.

New guide to support the role of the designated person for looked after children in schools

‘Making a difference’ focuses primarily on the designated person role in primary, secondary and special schools, but also covers the transition of looked after children from pre-school to compulsory education and to further and higher education. 

New guidance available – Sexting: Responding to incidents and safeguarding learners 

The UK Council for Child Internet Safety (UKCCIS) Education Working Group has produced guidance in collaboration with the Welsh Government to help schools and colleges in Wales with incidents of sexting.
