Digital App saves time for nurses

Software development company, Elidir Health, has developed a mobile app to reduce the time nurses spend obtaining patients’ laboratory results.

With Welsh Government support through the Small Business Research Initiative (SBRI), the company has produced a digital tool that gives nurses 23 per cent more time to spend with patients

New opportunity for South Wales print company

DecTek, a Welsh resin and print technology specialist, successfully applied for Welsh Government Innovation funding to support their ambitious growth strategy. The funding for both a new cutting machine and a diagnostic review has led to additional opportunities for the business.

The founder of DecTek describes Innovation funding as a “quick and efficient process” which brings many benefits.

Mapping Innovation in Wales

Arloesiadur is a new web platform for mapping innovation in Wales. This joint initiative between Nesta and Welsh Government reveals insights into Wales’ innovative industry, research and tech networks and will help develop policies to strengthen innovation in Wales.

Advances Wales- Issue 83 Out now
