Workshops:
Schools are being reminded to get their applications in
for Arts Council of Wales’s ground-breaking Creative Collaboration fund.
Schools and arts, culture and heritage organisations can
apply for funding of between £5,000 and £25,000 to develop creative activities
that are out of the ordinary and not run-of-the-mill. Find out more.
By taking part in the survey, you will help Estyn to understand how well this is happening now and what could be improved, and so help to shape future policy.

A new resource – Trust me Cymru – aims to help upper KS2 primary
and secondary teachers educate children and young people to critically evaluate
inaccurate online information, including content that seeks to deliberately
influence their opinions.

For the new
GCSE: to be taught from September 2016 a textbook to
develop students' knowledge and understanding of food and nutrition, improve
practical food preparation and cooking skills. A useful resource for preparing
students for assessment.
Goodness! This is Issue 18 of Ciwb. This time, we’re using

Qualifications
Wales is currently reviewing GCSEs, A levels and vocational qualifications in
ICT, taken by pupils in Wales, and the skills they develop from studying these
before starting a career in ICT.
Qualifications Wales is holding two workshop based events for teachers of ICT in North and South Wales (Tŷ Menai in Bangor and Brynteg school in Bridgend). We need your help identifying content and assessment needs for future ICT qualifications for 14-16 year olds. Lunch is provided before a 12.30pm start but places are limited so it will be on a first come, first serve basis.
Adoption UK has published this resource to help adoptive parents work effectively in partnership with
education professionals, particularly those in school, and to equip parents
with the knowledge and skills to do that.
One stop shop for information for all potential and current teachers Discover Teaching aims to increase the number of teachers here in Wales, by keeping the high quality and teaching standards. This national campaign is led by the four education consortia in Wales – ERW, EAS, GwE a CSC. It is also being supported by other various partners such as EWC, Careers Wales, USCET and the Welsh Government.
