Welsh teachers return from CERN to teach what matters

Welsh teachers have come back down to earth following a trip to the European Centre for Nuclear Research (CERN), Switzerland.

INSET day training module – Mitigating the effects of poverty through arts, culture and heritage

Developed to support practitioners and schools when using arts, culture and heritage to mitigate the effects of deprivation. Four modules have been published and are available for use.

Hay Festival 2017

VQ Awards 2017: nominations invited

The deadline for all nominations is midday, 21 April 2017. 

The VQ Awards will recognise the achievements of individuals and employers across four different categories: 

  1. VQ Learner of the Year (CQFW level 3 or below), 
  2. VQ Learner of the Year (CQFW level 4 or above), 
  3. VQ Trainer of the Year, and 
  4. VQ Employer of the Year.

Office 365

Changes have been made to the way users are able to access Office 365. When you click on the Office 365 icon you will now be redirected to an Office 365 dashboard. The new dashboard contains tiles with links to a range of Office 365 tools. To access your e-mail simply click on the Outlook tile.

    Chinese Language Assistants

    British Council grants are now available for the funding of a Chinese Language Assistant in 2017-18.  These grants, available in Wales only, will enable up to three schools to share a fully funded Chinese Language Assistant from October 2017 onwards.  For further information on Chinese Language Assistants, contact iepwales@britishcouncil.org.
