Foundation Phase Profile, which was introduced in September 2015 as the
statutory baseline assessment tool at the start of Reception Year. Your responses will inform our future approach

The
Tidy! project is an opportunity for children and teachers at foundation phase and KS2 from the Central
South Joint Education Consortium area to work on a series of environmental workshops alongside
professional practitioners from arts companies, including Arts Active, Welsh
National Opera, Music Theatre Wales and Literature Wales.

governing bodies with the flexibility to appoint governors with the necessary
skills and to organise themselves in a way that meets their needs.

New digital resources are now available to help raise
awareness of the experiences of children of armed service personnel. The stories, told by the children themselves,
parents and teacher tell of their experiences in Welsh schools and give insight
into what life is like for them.
The report
includes web links to all documents produced for schools and their governing
bodies over the past academic year of 2015 to 2016.

The new PA Raspberry Pi
competition challenges teams of children and young people to invent under the
theme of ‘Innovation for All’. The first 100 teams to enter will receive
a free Raspberry Pi computer starter pack to help with their innovation
projects. The challenge culminates in a day of science and engineering
discovery and an ‘Oscar’ style awards ceremony and is open to academic years
4-13. Applications in either English or Welsh are welcomed and resources
regarding the competition are available in both languages. Contact RaspberryPi for more information.

Keeping learners safe was published in 2015
and it was identified through engagement with stakeholders that there was a
need for consistent safeguarding learning tools to help embed the guidance. The
modules are for all staff within an educational setting. The modules are made
available by accessing the PLAYLIST. No Hwb login is required.
HwbMeets are informal gatherings for those
curious about innovative ideas for digital teaching and learning. Bookings for other Winter Term dates will
