The handbook
includes summaries of each of the test administration manuals and guidance on
access and disapplication arrangements. Headteachers, test administrators and
teachers should familiarise themselves with this document.

The Deadline for schools and FE colleges to upload their Key Stage 4 and 16-18 local curriculum offer course information onto Careers Wales Online has been extended. Please ensure that this process is completed and all local curriculum offers have been confirmed by 29th April using The Careers Wales Online system.
Qualifications Wales hits the road as
consultation continues
Qualifications
Wales is heading out on the road to hear what teachers and others think of the
planned reform of GCSEs, AS and A levels to be introduced in 2017. We are
holding a series of meetings across Wales to raise awareness of the consultation, including venues in Llanelli,
Nantgarw, Connah’s Quay, Llangefni and Newtown between April 25th
and May 11th.

details of the consultation exercise, which started on April 4th and
runs until May 15th, are available on the Qualifications
Wales website.
Appeal for subject
experts
Qualifications Wales, is looking for
subject experts across a range of subjects to review draft specification and
specimen assessment materials, ensuring they are fit for purpose and meet our
regulations. Subject experts will be required to work the equivalent of between
3 and 10 (non-consecutive) days at a rate of £300 per day

As Year 6 pupils embark on their final term in school you may wish to
incorporate transition projects into your teaching. Why not use Hwb+ to create
a class site for a year 6 to 7 transition project? Visit Hwb for guidance on how to create a collaborative Hwb+

A new and comprehensive Welsh language dictionary for the secondary and post-16 sector. The dictionary contains over 45,000 Welsh definitions, 38,000 English words and 12,000 technical terms.
