Summary: Community Stakeholder Forum Meeting

The inaugural meeting of the Community Stakeholder Forum was held last week (28 October), via Zoom. The Forum is integral to the unique and extensive community engagement programme supporting the first consultation (‘Issues and Options’) on the new Uttlesford Local Plan.

The Forum comprises a group of local representatives who will contribute a broad range of perspectives to discussions on a series of themes relevant to the new plan.

Discussion included the role of the Forum and the new local plan, as well as an opportunity to introduce some of the Forum members.

This introductory meeting – which included discussion on the role of the Forum and new local plan – is available to watch online here:

The Community Stakeholder Forum will be discussing what makes a neighbourhood special and the characteristics of a walkable neighbourhood at the next meeting, on 11 November.

The conversation will be introduced by Dr Noha Nasser, architect and academic, debated by the Forum and chaired by Angela Dixon of Saffron Hall.

The event will be live-streamed from 7pm so that anyone can listen in. Registration is available here.

After the meeting the consultation will open and you can make your comments via the links on the website.
