Clean air day

Take action for Clean Air Day - 16th June 2022

It is Clean Air Day on 16th June 2022 and you can use this day to help improve the air quality in and around your school.  The impacts of air pollution can affect all children as their immune systems, lungs and brains develop.

Air pollution can affect children’s physical health, their ability to learn, and their overall wellbeing, yet millions of children are still exposed to dangerously high levels of air pollution, with over a quarter of UK schools situated in areas breaching WHO air pollution limits.

Help to safeguard children and their future, ensuring this generation, and the environment they live in, is as healthy as possible.

Resilience

SPARK Resilience programme for Tower Hamlets schools

Partnership for Children are delighted to be offering schools and organisations in Tower Hamlets and Hackney their brand new fully-funded programme, SPARK Resilience.

This is a school-based social and emotional learning programme for 10 - 12 year olds at the end of primary or the beginning of secondary school.

The programme draws on mindfulness, positive psychology and cognitive behavioural therapy to give children skills to boost their strengths, control strong emotions and re-frame habitual ways of thinking.

Partnership for Children will provide resources, training and support sessions for up to 35 schools and organisations in Tower Hamlets and Hackney, to help them build resilience skills in the children and young people they work with.

You will need to be quick to secure a place for your school.  The next opportunity for online training is Tuesday 28th June and Tuesday 5th July from 15.30 to 17.30.
