Remembrance Sunday is an important date in the nation's annual calendar, and this year takes place on 13 November.
It presents an opportunity to remember the Armed Forces, and their families, from Britain and the Commonwealth, for the sacrifices made to defend our freedoms and protect our way of life.
It’s also a chance to reflect on the vital role played by the emergency services and those who have lost their lives as a result of conflict or terrorism.
