There are just a few days until this year's Mic Morris Torfaen 10k. With a fantastic 1086 runners signed up, here's the latest race information.
The race begins at 9am
- Pre-booked transport will begin shuttling runners to the start area at 7:30am. IF YOU HAVE NOT PRE-BOOKED TRANSPORT, YOU WILL NEED TO FIND ALTERNATIVE ARRANGEMENTS TO GET TO THE START AREA.
- If you are not dropping your bag off in Blaenavon there is no need for you to attend Blaenavon Workingmen’s Hall.
- Portaloos are available at the start area.
- There is a formal road closure in place throughout the route, however runners are still advised to observe The Highway Code for their own safety as we cannot guarantee a member of the public will not ignore the closure.
- There will be a water station at the 5km mark.
- There will be water, bananas and goodie bags at the finish area in Pontypool Park.
- The winners presentation will take place at 10am near to the Torfaen Sports Development tent.
- Emergency care providers may need access through the route during the time of the race. If this is the case they will be walked through specific crossing points by marshals when the time is safest for the runners.
A big thank you to this year's sponsors
