Residents are invited to help design time travelling benches that will use virtual reality to recreate the sights and sounds of Blaenavon in the 19th century.
Workshops are free for anyone to attend and take place at the World Heritage Centre on Friday 2 November and Saturday 3 November at Big Pit from 10am.
The benches are being designed by local artist Rubin Eynon and Glen Adams, blacksmith at Horizon Forge.
They will be positioned at key sites around Blaenavon and will be downloadable from the VisitBlaenavon website for users to experience on their smartphone and through VR headsets, taking them back to the 19th century to see how Blaenavon would have looked.
The project is being delivered by Torfaen Council and the National Museum of Wales, and is being supported by the Welsh Government.
The benches will be in place in early 2019. For further information contact blaenavon.tic@torfaen.gov.uk or 01495 742333.
